ABOUT US

Greetings from the Memorial Academy of Learning and Technology's (MALT) Colorguard Team! If you are not familiar with our school and/or our Colorguard program, please allow us to give you some information about us and our success. 

 

TEAM STATUS

For the past four years, the MALT Colorguard Team has been considered the top junior high school team in San Diego County.  During the 2006 season, we were promoted to the highest, "Advanced," level of competition, and now we are among the top four teams in all of southern California and are the only Advanced team in San Diego County.  In addition to our team's athletic excellence, our MALT student athletes all met or exceeded our goal of maintaining a 3.5 GPA, academically, which is a tremendous achievement in our low-income, mostly English language-learning, school and area.

 

SPONSORSHIP/BENEFITS

We would like you to consider sponsoring the MALT Colorguard Team.  We are seeking to ensure that the Colorguard program at MALT can continue with the success that it has experienced in the past few years.  The program is very expensive to keep up. We are trying to raise enough funds to be used to cover the cost of new uniforms, competition entry fees, transportation, rifles, flags, and other supplies that are needed for our program. Your generous donation would be used for the 2007-2008 Colorguard/Winterguard season, and each student athlete would benefit greatly from your financial assistance.  Also, your donation is 100% tax deductible!
